Stamford Farmhouse Alnwick

Newly refurbished throughout and open from August 2013.Karen and Simon would like to welcome you to Stamford Farmhouse, a Georgian Farmhouse set in its own formal grounds and adjacent woodland. We are situated about 5 miles from the historic market town of Alnwick which boasts Alnwick Gardens and Castle, the famous Barter Books and regular markets and events throughout the summer. Also on our doorstep is the beautiful Northumberland coastline and countryside with miles of unspoilt beaches, many castles and spectacular scenery, a 2 mile trip takes you to the delightful village of Craster home of the famous Craster Kipper! We are also close to Alnmouth rail station where regular trains run to Newcastle (30mins) or Edinburgh (1 hour). Our rooms are all tastefully furnished to reflect the house and all come with flat screen TV's with freeview, digital radio, DVD. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. A charming sitting room with open fire and comfy sofas is available for guests to relax and enjoy the tranquility of Stamford after a day exploring. Breakfast is served in our light airy dining room.Delicious and satisfying Northumbrian breakfasts start the day, using local produce where possible and with prior notice special diets can be catered for . We cater for families with our family suite which sleeps 2 adults and 2 children in connecting rooms and has en suite facilities. We also have one double ensuite with superking bed, one twin with private bathroom and one super king with private bathroom.Dogs are welcome but please contact us if more than 2 will be coming. Safe, dry storage is available for golf clubs, cycles, surfboards or dirty hiking boots on request.Please note we can only accept cash or cheque

Directions

From the A1 travelling North take the slip road signposted Alnwick and Denwick then at T-junction turn right onto Denwick Lane - B1340.From the A1 travelling South take the slip road signposted Alnwick and Denwick then at T-junction turn left onto Denwick Lane - B1340 Follow this road until you pass a pub on the left called the Masons Arms and take the first right.Drive over the level crossing and the Farmhouse is just passed the farm buildings on the left of the road. Access is through the white gates and parking is at the front of the house. Please park to the right next to the grass on arrival.
