Nestled between fields and close to the Northumbrian Heritage Coastline with beautiful views across to Bamburgh, Holy Island and the magnificent coastline, Old Stone is owned and run by Melanie and Rob who have added many personal touches to their home to ensure you have a peaceful and relaxing break. Their generous breakfast menu uses locally sourced food wherever possible such as free range eggs, award winning sausages from Rothbury Family Butchers and Craster Kippers served with freshly brewed tea and coffee, fresh orange juice and toast. Local Attractions Old Stone is ideally situated for easy access to many local attractions such as the historic town of Alnwick, just 9 miles away with it's cobbled streets, weekly market, Playhouse Theatre, the majestic Medieval Castle used in Harry Potter and water feature gardens offering a unique dining experience at The Tree House. A short drive takes you to the picturesque village of Bamburgh with it's spectacular castle and amazing stretch of golden sandy beach and the stunning Northumberland coastline.Ideal location for walk, cycling, climbing and golfing breaks. Close to the Cheviot hills and little further away you can visit Hadrians wall.

Old Stone is part of a newly converted farmstead and is easy to find but if your navigation system can't find our postcode (NE67 5HG) please follow the directions below or ring us on 01665 589584 or 07846 494639 for assistance. A1 Alnwick - Road: TRAVELLING NORTH ON THE A1: Approx.10 miles North of Alnwick the A1 changes to single carriageway just after the Ellingham turnoff. After 1 mile turn left where signposted 'Wandylaw'. At the top of the road take a sharp left. Drive straight on and through the open wooden gateson the left then follow the road around where you will find Old Stone in the right hand corner behind a small detached cottage. Please park in front of one of the arched doorways. If you have any problems finding Old Stone please call us on 01665 589584 or 07846 494639.TRAVELLING SOUTH ON THE A1: Approx 6 miles South of Belford turn right where signposted 'Wandylaw' (if you reach the dual carriageway near the Ellingham turnoff you've gone too far!). At the top of this road take a sharp left.
